Job Description
Job Title: Estimator
Location: Wickford (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to £50,000 - £60,000
Currently a Leading Contractor who specialise in the; façades, ceiling, drywall, flooring, plastering and interior finishing sector, are looking for estimator with a similar background.
Previous projects include; Residential, Commercial, Education, and Leisure. Packages range between £100k to £20m in value, which each being completed to a highly; professional, impeccable, and stylish finish.
You as the estimator will be part of a close communicating pre-construction/commercial team, working closely with the estimating department Director specifically drywall projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, ensuring that all elements are considered, including materials, labour, plant, and overheads.
- Analyse tender documents, plans, specifications, and other related information to compile comprehensive and competitive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information and produce detailed pricing structures.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in estimating and monitor project costs throughout the pre-construction phase.
- Identify opportunities to optimise costs while maintaining the quality and integrity of the project.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, ensuring that all costs and risks are communicated effectively.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tender bids, working to deadlines and providing clear and well-supported documentation.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of cost estimation processes.
- Previous experince in the drylining market is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using estimating software and relevant industry tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
