Our client is a highly regarded, privately-owned main contractor delivering prestigious projects across London and the South of England. Specialising in prime residential construction, they undertake a wide range of projects including luxurious country homes, London townhouses, and heritage conservation works. Their projects range from £2m to over £80m in value, showcasing a dedication to craftsmanship and quality.

This is a rare opportunity to join their team as a Project Director and lead iconic high value projects in the super prime residential sector.

The Role:

As Project Director, you will take responsibility for the delivery of one or more complex, high-value projects, leading multi-disciplinary teams from pre-construction through to post-completion. You will:

  • Develop and implement project strategies to meet and exceed contractual obligations, profit margins, and KPIs.
  • Coordinate all project phases, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Provide leadership to project managers and teams, fostering a culture of professionalism and collaboration.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and consultants, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Drive resource planning, recruitment, and team development in line with business policies.
  • Deliver detailed progress reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires an experienced leader with a strong background in construction project management and a passion for delivering exceptional results. You’ll need:

  • Proven experience managing high-value construction projects, ideally within the luxury residential or heritage sectors.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities to streamline project delivery and mitigate risks.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
