Overview:
We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading company in the luxury interior design, fit-out, and construction industry. With over 25 years of experience, our client has a strong reputation for delivering exceptional luxury interiors and complete turnkey operations for prime residential, retail, and commercial environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work with notable corporate clients and discerning private individuals. Our client also acts as a main contractor, overseeing the entire construction process from start to finish.
About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of high-end residential projects, working on some of the most exclusive and meticulously designed homes. In addition to luxury private residences, you will also be involved in prestigious retail, hotel, and hospitality projects, collaborating with internationally recognised brands and elite private clients. You will be responsible for cost control, contract negotiation, and financial management, ensuring that all projects—whether a bespoke private home, a flagship retail store, or a luxury hospitality space—are delivered to the highest standards expected in the ultra-prime sector.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the commercial aspects of high-end residential, luxury retail, hotel, and hospitality projects
- Conducting cost control and financial management
- Preparing tender and contract documents
- Evaluating and negotiating contracts
- Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, private clients and other stakeholders
Candidate Requirements:
- 5 - 10 years of experience working on high-end refurbishment and fit-out projects
- Strong knowledge of cost control, financial management, and contract administration
- Experience with JCT and bespoke contracts
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with key stakeholders
- Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying and construction management software
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
