Projects Manager – Partitions & Drylining

Location: Berkshire (projects across London and the Home Counties)
Salary: Dependent on experience, competitive package and benefits
Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm, predominantly site-based with some office work as required

The Company:
An established and fast-growing interior fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. With a strong reputation built over nearly 20 years, they specialise in delivering drywall, ceiling systems, partitioning, and high-quality joinery within the commercial fit-out sector. Their client base includes many well-known main contractors, with a high level of repeat business and ongoing growth.

The Role:
Working alongside a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of drywall and ceiling design, excellent client-facing skills, and a commercially astute approach to project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver multiple fit-out projects from pre-construction through to handover

  • Produce detailed project programmes and monitor against key milestones

  • Manage procurement schedules and coordinate materials deliveries

  • Liaise effectively with clients, internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors

  • Ensure projects are completed safely, adhering to H&S legislation and company policies

  • Drive quality assurance processes and achieve snag-free handovers

  • Resolve project issues promptly to avoid delays or disruption

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

  • Participate in project reviews to support continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the commercial fit-out sector

  • Strong technical knowledge of drywall, ceilings, partitioning, and related systems

  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project management software (e.g., MS Project or Astra)

  • SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid qualified

  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety standards

  • A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field is advantageous but not essential
