Accounts Assistant – High-End Residential Construction

£30,000 + Benefits | Office-Based | South West London

A well-established and privately owned main contractor based in South West London is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their team.

With a solid track record, this contractor specialises in the construction and refurbishment of ultra high-quality, super prime residential projects across London. Their work includes basements, structural renovations, and luxury internal fit-outs. They operate with a loyal client base and a strong, supportive internal team culture.

As part of a restructure, the company is hiring an Accounts Assistant to support the Office Manager with day-to-day finance and administration. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a respected business delivering exceptional residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices using Sage 50

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving supplier queries

  • Setting up CIS subcontractors and processing CIS vouchers

  • Performing bank reconciliations

  • Producing timesheet reports for payroll purposes

  • Maintaining records and general filing

  • Assisting the Office Manager and wider admin function as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance/admin role

  • Construction industry experience and knowledge of CIS is preferred

  • Proficient with Sage 50 and Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and methodical working style

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Must be happy to work full-time from the office (no hybrid/remote options)

  • Positive and proactive attitude – willing to get involved and support the team

Salary & Hours:

  • £30,000 per annum

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

  • Based in the office full-time (South West London)
