Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor – London / Home Counties
Permanent | Full Time | Salary DOE + Travel + Package

A well-established, family-owned main contractor is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist a Senior Quantity Surveyor throughout the full project lifecycle

  • Attend CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) meetings

  • Support commercial functions across multiple live and pre-construction projects

  • Conduct pricing assessments and tender analysis

  • Assist in subcontractor management and valuations

  • Support the measurement and valuation of subcontract packages

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual terms

Candidate Profile:

  • HNC, Degree, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline

  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills

  • Keen to learn and develop under the guidance of experienced professionals

  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ideally located within a 45-minute commute of Barking (London Borough), with flexibility for site-based work across London and the Home Counties
