Pre-Construction Manager

📍 Hertfordshire (Hybrid working 1 day per week)
💰 Circa £85,000 + package (salary flexible)

A growing building safety and fire remediation contractor is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to lead the pre-construction function on a portfolio of major remediation projects across London and the South East.

The business has recently secured multiple large contracts with major residential developers, delivering building safety upgrades including façade remediation, fire protection works and internal fire safety improvements.

With projects ranging from £1m – £40m, the company is expanding rapidly and looking to strengthen its leadership team.

The Role

The Pre-Construction Manager will oversee the entire pre-construction process, managing technical coordination, documentation and consultant engagement across remediation projects.

You will lead a growing team currently consisting of Technical Managers and Document Controllers, ensuring robust processes and efficient project mobilisation.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing all pre-construction activities across remediation projects
• Overseeing the coordination of external consultants including Fire Engineers, Structural Engineers and Designers
• Managing the technical process prior to project commencement
• Supporting project teams with planning and mobilisation
• Developing and implementing efficient pre-construction processes
• Leading and developing the growing technical team

Requirements

• Experience within pre-construction, technical or project coordination roles in construction
• Strong organisational and process-driven approach
• Ability to manage consultants and technical information effectively
• Construction experience beneficial (fire remediation, façades or residential desirable but not essential)
